Liga NOS: Altice acquires exclusive TV 2016-17 rights in France, Switzerland, Belgium and Luxembourg

Altice, the Dutch holding company of telecommunication and cable operator group, acquired the exclusive distribution rights, in France, for the Liga NOS, the Portuguese first division, for the 2016-17 season, on 10/08/2016. SFR Sport 1 and 2, the channels owned by the Altice subsidiary SFR-Numericable, will broadcast two to six live games from each matchday. The broadcast starts with Rio Ave FC - FC Porto, the opening match of Matchday 1 of the 2016-17 Liga NOS, on Friday, 12/08/2016, at 21:30 CET, on SFR Sport 2.

"With this acquisition, the Altice group is also the exclusive distributor of the Portuguese first division in Belgium, Switzerland, and Luxembourg, and is the distributor of Benfica TV on French, Belgian, Swiss, Luxembourg and sub-Saharan African TV," announced the group on 10/08/2016.

SFR Sport is also the exclusive distributor of the Premier League, in France, for the 2016-2019 period from the acquisition of TV rights by its parent group Altice for France and Monaco, on 26/11/2015.
