Ligue 1: 20,894 average spectators per game (-6.5%) and 67% stadium fill rate in 2015-16

The 20 Ligue 1 clubs registered an average of 20,894 spectators per game during the 2015-16 season, a decrease of 1,443 spectators per game (-6.5%) compared to the 2014-15 season (22,337 average spectators per game). This total places Ligue 1 last among the European Top 5 leagues in terms of attendance in 2015-16, while the French top division was ahead of the Serie A TIM in 2014-15.

With 46,610 spectators per game on average - in Ligue 1 matches - at the Parc des Princes (47,929 seats), Paris Saint-Germain are the top French club in terms of attendance in 2015-16. This is an increase of 1.8% over 2014-15 (45,789 per game), and Paris Saint-Germain are ranked 16th in the European club attendance ranking in 2015-16 with a stadium fill rate of 96%.

Second in Ligue 1 attendance in 2015-16 with 42,015 average spectators per game, Olympique de Marseille have seen its attendance (53,130 spectators, -20.9%) and fill rate (from 79& to 62%) drop significantly compared to the 2014-15 season.
