Liga BBVA: 28,112 average spectators per game (+4.7%) and 72% stadium fill rate in 2015-16

The 20 clubs of Liga BBVA recorded an average of 28,112 spectators per game during the 2015-16 season, up to 1,281 spectators per game (+4.7%) compared to the 2014-15 season. Thus, the Liga BBVA was European Top 5 league which experienced the strongest growth in attendance, and placed third in the Top 5 behind the Bundesliga (43,325 average spectators) and the Premier League (36,409). The average attendance recorded in 2015-16 is the highest in the history of the Spanish first division.

With an average of 78,902 spectators per game - in La Liga matches - at the Camp Nou (99,500 seats), FC Barcelona recorded the top mark in Spain in 2015-16. For the fourth consecutive season, Barcelona have had the second highest average attendance in Europe, behind Borussia Dortmund (average of 81,178 fans per game in the 81,359-seater Signal Iduna Park).
