Serie A: 22,155 average spectators per game (+0.4%) and 53% stadium fill rate in 2015-16

The 20 clubs in Serie A TIM registered an average of 22,155 spectators per game during the 2015-16 season, an increase of 98 spectators (+0.4%) compared to the 2014-15 season. The Serie A, passed by Ligue 1 in average attendance in 2014-15, thus returned to fourth place in among the European Top 5 leagues in 2015-16, due to the decrease in the attendance of the French top division (-6%).

With an average 45,990 spectators per game - in Serie A TIM matches - at the San Siro (80,000 seats), FC Internazionale Milano are the Italian club with the highest attendance in 2015-16. The Milan club had 8720 more spectators pe rgame on average (+23.7%) compared to 2015-16, the best increase in the Top 5 leagues, despite a stadium fill rate of just 57%.

Despite the relatively low capacity of Juventus Stadium (41,000 seats, only the 7th largest capacity in the Serie A), Juventus garnered the third best average attendance mark in the Italian first division in 2015-16 (38,445 spectators per game), giving the Turin club the best fill rate in Italy (93%).
