Spain: LaLiga publishes the world map of 2016-17 broadcasters of the Spanish League

The Spanish Professional Football League has included a map of LaLiga Santander's official broadcasters for the 2016-17 season on its website. LaLiga assigned the international distribution of audiovisual rights for Spanish professional competitions for the 2015-2020 cycle to the Mediapro Sports agency, on 19/06/2015. Mediapro has tended to sign contracts for three years (2015-2018) with European broadcasters, and for five years for those outside of Europe.

Some broadcasters stand out in this world map provided for LaLiga Santander:
• beIN Sports, which holds rights to LaLiga in North America (excluding Mexico), Europe (France), in North Africa, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia.
• ESPN, throughout South America.
• SuperSport, throughout sub-Saharan Africa.

In Russia, the broadcasting rights of LaLiga Santander for the 2016-17 season have not yet been acquired, as of 16/08/2016.

Note that Germany, Austria, and Switzerland are the only major countries where the 2016-17 LaLiga Santander, which begins on Friday, 19/08/2016 with the opening match between Malaga CF - CA Osasuna…
