LaLiga: Estrella Galicia (beer brand) becomes the main shirt sponsor of Celta de Vigo until 2017-18

The Spanish beer brand Estrella Galicia became the main shirt sponsor of RC Celta de Vigo (LaLiga Santander) for two seasons (2016-2018), on 17/08/2016. Estrella Galicia is a brand owned by the brewer Hijos de Rivera, installed in La Coruña in Galicia, the autonomous community in the northwest of Spain in which lies in the city of Vigo.

The non-alcoholic beer brand, "Estrella Galicia 0,0", which will appear on the Celta de Vigo first team and youth team shirts from 2016-17. The annual amount is estimated at between €1.5m and €2m by Spanish media.

Estrella Galicia, a partner of the club since 2009 and the back of the shirt sponsor during the 2014-2016 period, succeeds the French automobile manufacturer Citroën as the main shirt sponsor, who had been the main shirt sponsor of Celta de Vigo since 1985 and paid €1.5m to the club in 2015-16.

Estrella Galicia has also been the main shirt sponsor of RC Deportivo La Coruña (LaLiga Santander) since 2008-09, as well as CD Lugo (LaLiga 1|2|3), another Galician professional club. Just as in the case of Celta de Vigo, the "Estrella Galicia 0,0…
