Borussia Dortmund: record turnover of €376.3m for the 2015-16 fiscal year (+36.6%)

Borussia Dortmund (Bundesliga) posted a record turnover of €376.3m at the end of the 2015-16 fiscal year (01/07/2015 to 30/06/2016), up 36.6% compared to the previous year (€276m), announced the club on 19/08/2016.

Excluding gains from player trading, Borussia Dortmund's income rose by 6.7% in 2015-16, reaching €281.3m (against €263.6m in 2014-15), despite not participating in the 2015-16 Champions League. The club posted an EBITDA of €86.7m on 30/06/2016, up 56% year-on-year (€55.6m in 2014-15), and an overall profit of €29.4m (compared to €5.5m in 2014-15).

These figures are a "clear sign of BVB's earnings power. That (internationalisation of the club) always happens with our roots in mind. We will remain the club that we are," said Hans-Joachim Watzke, CEO of the club, at the presentation of the financial results on 19/08/2016.
