Media: beIN Sport to launch in the Philippines, Thailand, Taiwan and Hong Kong in August 2013

The Qatari sports channel beIN Sport has joined up with the media and marketing rights agency MP & Silva to launch beIN Sport in the Philippines, Thailand, Taiwan and Hong Kong in August 2013, MP & Silva announced on the 03/07/2013. This is the second wave of beIN Sport's expansion in Asia, following the launch of the channel in Indonesia on the 01/07/2013.

The subsidiary of the Qatari media group, Al Jazeera, will be divided into three channels:
- beIN Sport 1 HD: live broadcasts of the Premier League, Serie A, Ligue 1, MLS (Major League Soccer, USA), Brasileirão (Brazilian first division) and the 2014 World Cup qualifiers (in South America and Europe)
- beIN Sport 2 HD: live broadcasts of the Premier League, Serie A, Ligue 1, tennis, rugby, volleyball and the Asian Games 2014
- beIN Sport 3 Premier League HD: live broadcast of the 380 matches of the English first division each season

beIN Sport 1 HD will be available in Thailand, beIN Sport HD 1 and 2 in Hong Kong. Taiwan and the Philippines will have access to all three channels.
