Premier League: Tag Heuer equips referees with their connected watches and dedicated application

The Swiss watchmaker Tag Heuer has equipped Premier League referees with the Tag Heuer Connected model watch since the beginning of the 2016-17 season, on 10/08/2016. The connected watch is accompanied by a dedicated application, specially designed for referees in the English top flight.

Tag Heuer became the Official Timekeeper and Official Watch of the Premier League for the 2016-2019 period, on 26/04/2016. The watchmaker has worked with PGMOL, the umbrella organisation of professional arbitration for the Premier League, to produce the connected watch.

The application provides the referees with an ability to more accurately monitor the progression of the match. "Premier League referees have been familiarising themselves with their Tag Heuer Connected watches using the app during pre-season warm-up games," said Tag Heuer on 10/08/2016.
