2016-17 Champions League: adidas presents the official match-ball of the group stage

adidas presented the official ball for the 2016-17 Champions League group stage, on 25/08/2016. The German sports equipment supplier has been the official match ball supplier of UEFA competitions club since 2000. The group stage will be played from 13/09 to 07/12/2016.

A new feature in the design of the ball is the inscription of quotes from players sponsored by adidas (including Mesut Özil, Toni Kroos, James Rodriguez, and Gareth Bale) around the theme "how to win his way". "The ball features white panels surrounded by green stars, and is based on the design of the UEFA Champions League logo," said UEFA on 25/08/2016.

The promotion of this ball will notably be done via adidas Gamedayplus, a video series on the YouTube channel of the equipment supplier which contains exclusive content (products, interviews, etc.). The ball is on sale for €139.95 for the "match ball" version, and €34.95 for the "training ball."
