FIFA: Peter Braun (GER) appointed as independent member of the compensation sub-committee

"In accordance with the FIFA governance regulations (art. 37 para 2b), Tomaž Vesel, the independent chairperson of FIFA’s Audit and Compliance Committee, and Issa Hayatou, the FIFA Finance Committee chairman, have appointed international legal and procurement advisor Dr. Peter Braun as an additional independent member to complete the three-person compensation sub-committee," stated FIFA on 25/08/2016.

The fully comprised committee is responsible for defining the individual annual compensation of the FIFA president, of the vice-presidents, and members of the Council, as well as of the secretary general.

At the next meeting of the sub-committee, on Wednesday, 31/08/2016, the compensation for the president of FIFA will calculated, said Gianni Infantino in an interview with the Swiss daily paper Blick, on 28/08/2016. This salary will "be less than the two million Swiss francs (€1.8m) that people are talking about and will be made public once it has been fixed," said Gianni Infantino, who was elected president on 26/02/2016.
