FIFA: €1.36m annual gross compensation for Gianni Infantino and €1.18m for Fatma Samoura

"The FIFA Compensation Sub-Committee and the FIFA President have agreed that the FIFA President's gross basic salary will be CHF 1.5m (€1.36m) per year plus benefits. The Sub-Committee and the FIFA Secretary General also agreed that the Secretary General’s gross basic salary will be CHF 1.3m (€1.18m) plus benefits," announced FIFA on 31/08/2016.

"The Compensation Sub-Committee, chaired by Tomaz Vesel, has determined these figures by taking into account a number of factors, including two independent expert opinions prepared by external human resources consultants," added FIFA.

"My salary is less than the two million Swiss francs (€1.8m) people are talking about and it will be made public once it has been fixed," said Gianni Infantino, who was elected FIFA president on 26/02/2016, in an interview with Swiss daily newspaper Blick, on 28/08/2016.
