Facebook: Top 100 European clubs with the most fans (September 2016)

With 94.25 million fans, FC Barcelona (LaLiga Santander) are the most followed European club on Facebook, according to data compiled by News Tank Football, which features the Top 100 of the most popular European clubs on this social network, on 01/09/2016.

Barcelona remain ahead of another Spanish club, Real Madrid FC, who count 92 million fans on Facebook. The podium is completed by Manchester United FC (Premier League), with 70.8 million fans. The Mancunian club drew 605,100 new fans in the past month, from August to September 2016.

No additional European club crossed into the one million fans territory on Facebook in August 2016. Currently, there are 47 European clubs, playing in 12 different league, which count more than one million followers on the social network. RSC Anderlecht (First Division A, Belgium, 986,350 fans) should become the 48^th European club to surpass the one million mark in September.
