The friendly match Italy - France (1-3) at the Stadio San Nicola (58,000 capacity) in Bari (ITA), drew an average of 4.947 million viewers on the French private free-TV channel TF1, on Thursday, 01/09/2016 (kick-off at 21:00 CET), according to data from the French audience measurement institute Médiamétrie.

This figure represented a 23.2% audience share, and allowed TF1 to achieve the best performance in the French TV market for the prime time on 01/09/2016. This is the first "les Bleus" match since the Euro 2016 final, which they lost against Portugal (1-0 a.e.t.), on 10/07/2016.

The French national team has played 55 games since 15/08/2012, when News Tank Football began recording the audiences: the Italy - France friendly match on 01/09/2016 achieved the lowest average audience for a first match of "les Bleus" after an international competition (Euro or World Cup) since 15/08/2012.
