Rai: Italy - France (1-3) friendly draws 5.542 million viewers in Italy (audience share: 26.4%)

The Italy-France (1-3) friendly match, at the Stadio San Nicola (58,000 seats) in Bari (ITA), drew an average of 5.542 million viewers on the Italian public broadcaster Rai1, on Thursday, 01/09/2016 (kick-off at 21:00 CET).

This figure represented a 26.4% audience share, and allowed Rai1 to achieve the best performance in the Italian television market for the prime time on 01/09/2016. This is the first match for the Azzurri since Euro 2016 and their elimination in the quarter-finals, against Germany (1-1, 5-6 on penalties, in Bordeaux on 02/07/2016).

The Italian public television group Rai drew 206,727,000 cumulative viewers for its broadcast of 26 of the 51 games of Euro 2016, for an average of 7.95 million viewers per game. The highest mark, in Italy, for a Euro 2016 game was for the quarter-final between Germany - Italy which drew an average 16.5 million viewers on Rai1, for an audience share of 66.34%.
