TV rights: exchange agreement between Sport1 and DAZN (Perform) for Germany, Switzerland and Austria

The German free-TV and pay-TV group Sport1 and the sports OTT platform DAZN reached an agreement - valid in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria - to share sports TV rights, on 01/09/2016. Under the agreement, the duration of which was not disclosed, Sport1 and the Perform Group platforms will share a portion of their respective TV rights portfolios.

"We are delighted that through this co-operation with DAZN, international soccer and tennis will remain a key element of the program portfolio of Sport1, Sport1+ and Sport1.de. Going forward we will also show selected games of top clubs like Juventus or Paris Saint-Germain live on Sport1+, as well as highlights from the various leagues - Premier League, Serie A, and Ligue 1 - in magazine shows on free-TV. The highlight clips from the leagues will be shown promptly on Sport1.de and our apps, rounding off our extensive content.
