France: the Federation and the French League will open an office in China in early 2017

The FFF and the LFP will open a joint office in China in early 2017, according to information published by by the French sports daily L'Équipe and evidence gathered by News Tank Football on 07/09/2016. The office, co-financed by the French Federation and the Professional Football League, will probably be based in Beijing, the capital of China.

The objective of both bodies is threefold:
• To export the know-how of French education in a country where the Ministry of Education has included the plan to ensure that 50,000 schools and higher education institutions have specific facilities for football in its Strategic Plan for 2015-2025.
• To canvass investors and sponsors for professional clubs in Ligue 1 and Domino's Ligue 2.
• To manage institutional relations with China and prepare the logistics of French football leaders visiting the country.
