UEFA: Würth becomes the seventh and last official sponsor of qualification for the 2018 World Cup

Würth, a German group specialising in the manufacturing and marketing of mounting and fastening materials for professionals, has been named the seventh and final official sponsor of the qualification phase of the European zone for the 2018 World Cup, announced UEFA on 08/09/2016.

As part of the agreement, Würth has a set of promotional rights including visibility on the advertising boards of stadiums hosting European qualification matches for the World Cup in Russia. "The European Qualifiers sponsorship programme was made possible by the centralisation of rights which took place ahead of the Euro 2016 qualifying campaign. With the first round of 2018 World Cup qualifiers completed, the conclusion of the sponsor programme underlines the strength of this initiative," said UEFA.

In addition to Würth, the other official sponsors for the qualification stage in the European zone for the 2018 World Cup are: Carlsberg (DEN, beer brand), Continental (GER, tyres), Hisense (CHN, electronics), Konami (JPN, video games) Socar (AZE, energy), and Turkish Airlines (TUR, airline), along with adidas…
