Manchester United (Premier League champions in 2012/13) have announced a 5-year partnership with Russian airline Aeroflot on the 08/07/2013. The Moscow-based airline company will become the club's official carrier, and will organise travel for players as well as club representatives. Aeroflot replaces Turkish Airlines, official carrier between 2010 and 2013.

A Manchester United-branded plane will be added to the fleet, and the Russian company will promote itself on pitch-side advertising boards and on the club's website. "We are a truly global airline offering the shortest route between Europe and Asia. Our partnership with Manchester United is based on this global outlook" said Vitaly Saveliev, CEO of Aeroflot.

"Today’s announcement marks the club’s first commercial venture in Russia, an expanding market we are keen to explore further.
