FIFA: Jeffrey Webb, former president of CONCACAF, banned for life by the Ethics Committee

"The adjudicatory chamber of the Ethics Committee chaired by Mr Hans-Joachim Eckert has banned Mr Jeffrey Webb (Cayman Islands), former President of CONCACAF, Vice-President of FIFA and President of the Cayman Islands Football Association, for life from all football-related activities on a national and international level. The ban comes into force immediately," announced FIFA on 09/09/2016.

Jeffrey Webb was one of the seven top leaders in international football arrested in Zurich (SUI) on 27/05/2015, following extradition requests made by the United States (charged with "racketeering, financial fraud and money laundering and other offenses"). The arrests took place on the eve of the FIFA Congress (28 and 29/05/2015), in which Joseph Blatter (SUI) was re-elected as president of the FIFA, before "giving up" his mandate on 02/06/2015.
