Premier League: MX1 acquires the distribution rights to Premier League Productions (IMG)

The content management and distribution services group MX1 acquired the distribution rights to the Premier League from the "Premier League Productions" division of IMG (marketing and media rights agency), on 31/08/2016. The duration of the agreement was not disclosed.

"MX1 has a direct connection to IMG's main sports production facility in London where we aggregate and deliver Premier League games throughout the season in HD to TV service platforms, channels, and networks across the Americas, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East," said Elad Manishviz, the CMO and CBO of sport and events for MX1, on 31/08/2016.

"Premier League Productions" (PLP) manages the production and distribution of video content for the international holders of the TV rights to the Premier League. IMG has renewed its agreement with the Premier League for the operations management of production and distribution, via PLP, for three seasons (2016-2019), on 20/06/2016.
