Italy: the Supercoppa TIM organised for the second time in Doha (Qatar), for Friday, 23/12/2016

The 2016 edition of the Supercoppa TIM, which pits Juventus (2015-16 Italian champions) and AC Milan (Coppa Italia runner-up, defeated in the final by Juventus 1-0 a.e.t, on 22/05/2016), will be played in Doha, the capital of Qatar, on Friday, 23/12/2016, announced the Lega Serie A and the State of Qatar on 09/09/2016. This is the second time that the Italian Super Cup will be played in the Persian Gulf country, after the 2014 (Juventus - SSC Napoli, 2-2, 5-6 on penalties, on 22/12/2014) at the Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium (14,000 capacity) of Doha.

"Our strong ties with Italian Football are proportional to our commitment to organise world class events for the global football family. We are eager to see Juventus and AC Milan, two global powerhouses return to Doha and compete for the Supercoppa TIM in front of thousands of fans from around the world," stated Sheikh Hamad bin Khalida Al Thani, president of the Qatar Football Assocaition, on 09/09/2016.
