UEFA: Congratulations to the new president, Aleksander Ceferin from the EPFL and the ECA

"I want to congratulate Aleksander Ceferin for today's election and I'm looking forward to meeting him personally to discuss sporting, business, and governance matters within UEFA in the interests of all stakeholders in football," said Lars-Christer Olsson (SWE), chairman of the EPFL, on 14/09/2016, in a congratulatory message to Aleksander Ceferin (SLO), elected the new UEFA president with 42 votes against 13 for Michael van Praag (NED) at the 12^th extraordinary UEFA Congress held in Athens (GRE) on 14/09/2016.

Both EPFL as a body and the ECA also published congratulatory messages (see below) to Aleksander Ceferin, 48 years old and a Slovenian lawyer, who succeeds Michel Platini (FRA) at the head of the European football confederation.
