Matchday 3 of the 2016-17 Serie A TIM season drew an average of 20,153 spectators per game, from 10 to 12/09/2016. After 3 matchdays, the average attendance of the Italian championship is currently 20,990 fans per match, for an average stadium fill rate of 54%.

Juventus - US Sassuolo Calcio (3-1) recorded the highest attendance of Matchday 3, with 39,040 fans at Juventus Stadium (fill rate: 94%).

Only five of the 10 games of Matchday 3 of the Serie A drew more than 20,000 spectators, and the home games of AC Milan (against Pescara, 28,303 spectators, 35% fill rate) and AS Roma (against Sampdoria, 27,630 spectators, 39% fill rate) were below 40% stadium capacity.
