FIFA: Edward Hanover (USA) is to become the FIFA Chief Compliance Officer on 01/10/2016

"FIFA today announced that Edward Hanover (USA), an experienced international compliance executive, has been appointed as the organisation's Chief Compliance Officer," said the international federation on 16/09/2016.

"The Chief Compliance Officer position was created as part of the comprehensive package of reforms approved by the FIFA Congress in February (26/02/2016). The reforms demonstrate FIFA's commitment to the principles of good governance, integrity, and transparency in all areas of its operations," added FIFA.

"In accordance with the revised FIFA Statutes, in force since 27/04/2016, a new Chief Compliance Officer will ensure that FIFA's business is run to the highest standards of governance, integrity and transparency," indicated FIFA on 08/07/2016.

"Mr Hanover will report to Fatma Samoura, FIFA's Secretary General, and will also work closely with the FIFA Legal & Integrity Division. He will begin work on 01/102016," said FIFA.
