Matchday 4 of the 2016-17 Serie A TIM season drew an average of 21,186 spectators per game from 16 to 18/09/2016. The average attendance of the Italian championship is currently 21,044 fans per game, for an average stadium fill rate of 54%.

FC Internazionale Milano - Juventus (2-1) recorded the highest attendance of Matchday 4, with 76,484 spectators at the San Siro (stadium fill rate: 95%). This "Derby d'Italia" recorded the best crowd in Serie A since the beginning of the season.

FC Crotone - US Citta di Palermo (1-1) recorded the lowest attendance, with only 510 spectators: the game was played in Pescara, 600 kilometres north of Crotone, due to work in the Stadio Ezio Scida, the home stadium of FC Crotone.
