Matchday 4 of the 2016-17 LaLiga Santander season drew an average of 23,756 spectators per game from 16 to 19/09/2016. The average attendance of the Spanish championship is currently 27,676 fans per game, for a stadium fill rate of 76%.

Club Atlético de Madrid - Real Sporting de Gijón (5-0) registered the highest attendance of Matchday 4, with 45,821 fans at the Vicente Calderon (stadium fill rate: 97%).

Six games of Matchday 4 drew less than 20,000 spectators, including CD Leganes - FC Barcelona (1-5), despite the fact that it was the only match of the weekend to sell out with 10,958 spectators at the Estadio Municipal de Butarque.
