An average of at least 4.334 million viewers watched the 10 games of Matchday 4 of the 2016-17 LaLiga Santander season, held from 16 to 19/09/2016.

The best audience of the weekend was for RCD Espanyol - Real Madrid CF (0-2): the pay-TV channel Movistar Partidazo drew an average of 1,202,000 viewers, on Sunday, 18/09/2016 (20:45 CET). This figure represented an audience share of 7.8% for the channel of the Telefonica group, which ranked first in the Spanish pay television market for the entire day of 18/09/2016. The CD Leganes - FC Barcelona (1-5) match drew an average of 568,000 viewers on the pay-TV channel beIN LaLiga, on Saturday, 17/09/2016 (13:00 CET), for a 8.1% audience share.

On Spanish free-TV, Real Betis - Granada CF (2-2), drew an average of 693,000 viewers on Gol (a Mediapro channel relaunched on 02/06/2016), on Friday, 16/09/2016 (20:45 CET). This figure represented a 5.4% audience share.
