Matchday 5 of the 2016-17 LaLiga Santander season drew an average of 32,274 spectators per match, with an average stadium fill rate of 68%, from Tuesday 20 to Thursday, 22/09/2016. Therefore, the average attendance of the championship reaches an average of 27,731 fans per match with an average stadium fill rate of 75%.

FC Barcelona - Atlético Madrid (1-1) recorded the highest attendance of Matchday 5, with 89,421 spectators at the Camp Nou (stadium fill rate: 90%). This is the best attendance for a league match since the start of the 2016-17 season.

Only four matches from Matchday 5 attracted more than 20,000 spectators meaning that this matchday has registered the lowest stadium fill rate (68%) since the start of the 2016-17 season. Six matches out of 10 had a stadium fill rate below 70%.
