Champions League: VTVcab acquires TV rights for 2016-2018 in Vietnam, via KJ Investment

The Vietnamese pay-TV operator Vietnam Television Cable Corporation Limited, which operates under the brand VTVcab, has acquired the rights to the Champions League, via sub-license from the South Korean KJ Investment Group Inc., for rights valid in Vietnam over the 2016 -2018 period, on 23/09/2016. These rights apply to all digital media and mobile platforms, including the VoD platforms VTVcab ON and VTVplay.

"I'm glad we finally landed the deal with KJ Investment Group Inc., and that VTVcab will continue to service Champions League fans (on its channels). In order to avoid future copyright infringements like in the 2015-2016 season which had led to the premature termination of the contract, we have purchased not only television rights but also rights over Internet and mobile broadcasts," said Hoang Ngoc Tuan, the general director of VTVcab on 23/09/2016.
