"We will bridge the economic gap that we have on the Premier League considerably. There are markets in Asia, such as China, where we are tied with them," said Javier Tebas, president of LaLiga, in the "2016 Economic Guide of LaLiga", presented on 28/09/2016.

This document of 63 pages, "which reflects, with dates and numbers, the economic development of clubs since the 2011-12 season to the 2014-15 season," was presented by Marc Menchén, director of Palco23, a Spanish website specialising in sports business, and Javier Gómez, the executive director of LaLiga.

"We consider that to grow, we need further optimisation of broadcasting hours, we need to have a direct presence in countries with local actions: academies, partnerships with leagues, sponsorship leading to activations, CSR initiatives, club visits and ambassadors. The goal is to create value, and monetise this value," added Javier Tebas.
