Olympique Lyonnais: €218.1m turnover (+111%) and first profit in six years (€9.8m) in 2015-16

The total turnover of Olympique Lyonnais (Ligue 1) amounted to €218.1m on 30/06/2016, compared to €103.5m one year earlier, for an increase of €114.6m (+111%), announces OL Groupe, the holding company which owns the Lyon club, after approving the accounts for the 2015-16 fiscal year, on 28/09/2016.

Revenue from operations, excluding player trading, reached a record level of €160m (+€63.7m, up 66% compared to 2014-15 period). The new Parc OL, in operation since 09/01/2016, in particular contributed to the increase in ticketing revenue to €27.7m (increase €16.6 year-on-year, +150%). Audiovisual rights also increased significantly €83.1m ( (increase of €37.3m, + 81%) thanks to the return of the club to the group stage of the 2015-16 Champions League.

EBITDA was €52.1m on 30/06/2016, compared to -€7.2m one year earlier. Profit from ordinary activities improved by €45.1m, from -€18.1m to €27m on 30/06/2015. The net profit of OL Groupe amounted to €9.8m on 30/06/2016, or €31.2m more than in 2014-15 (-€21.4m).
