Ligue 1: 42.46 million Facebook fans in total for the 20 clubs in the French league (October 2016)

The 20 clubs of the the 2016-17 Ligue 1 have a cumulative total of 42.46 million fans on the social network Facebook, according to data compiled by News Tank Facebook on 05/10/2016. Ligue 1 is the least followed European Top 5 league on Facebook, with 2.12 million fans on average per club.

Paris Saint-Germain remain the French club with the most fans (25,520,000) on Facebook, with an increase of 3100 since September 2016 (less than 0.1% growth). PSG alone comprise 60.1% of the total Facebook fans of Ligue 1 clubs, which is the highest proportion for a club in a Top 5 league.

AS Monaco are French club with the most new fans in September (+134 600), comprising nearly 50% of all the new fans in Ligue 1 over the last month. The 20 French clubs have the lowest average growth of Facebook of the Top 5 leagues since September 2016 (+13,500 on average).
