Facebook: Top 100 European clubs with the most fans (October 2016)

With 94.4 million fans, FC Barcelona (LaLiga Santander) is the most followed European football club on Facebook, according to data compiled by News Tank Football, which features a Top 100 list of the most popular European clubs on this social network, on 05/10/2016.

Barça remain ahead of Real Madrid CF, which has 92.28 million fans on Facebook. The podium is completed by Manchester United FC (Premier League), with 71.12 million. With 565,250 new fans in the past month, the German club FC Bayern Munich (Bundesliga) are the Top 5 league club who drew most new followers since September 2016.

OGC Nice (Ligue 1, +13.5% ) are the club with the highest percentage growth in fans of the European Top 100 European on Facebook, ahead of Stoke City FC (Premier League, +4.1%) and AS Monaco (Ligue 1, +3.8%).

During September 2016, Tottenham Hotspur FC (Premier League, +0.8%) became the 17^th club to pass the threshold of 8 million fans on Facebook. In the European Top 100, 18 leagues are represented, and 11 clubs have more than 20 million fans, with 20 clubs over 5 million.
