Serie A TIM: AS Roma post record turnover of €219.4m in 2015-16 (+21.5%)

AS Roma (Serie A TIM) posted a record turnover of €219.4m (excluding player trading) during the 2014-16 fiscal year (from 01/07/2015 to 30/06/2016), an increase of 21.5% (€180.6m) compared to the 2014-15, according to the accounts approved by the club's board of directors, on 06/10/2016.

This is the first time that the Italian club has posted over €200m of revenue in a season. AS Roma announced an EBITDA of €66.3m on 30/06/2016, 5.71 times more than in 2014-15 (€11.6m). The net loss for the club came to €14.1m in 2015-16, compared to a net loss of €41m the previous year (-65%).

"Revenue was positively influenced by the results in the Champions League (reaching the knockout rounds, see below) and the increase in the value of the TV rights of the Serie A. But this rise in revenues only partially offset the increase in personnel costs, investments in transfers, and bonuses to be paid," stated AS Roma.
