Bundesliga: Borussia Mönchengladbach launch its own ticket exchange platform

VfL Borussia Mönchengladbach (Bundesliga) have launched its own ticket exchange platform for the season, the club announced on 05/10/2016. The platform is operational for the first time for the Borussia Monchengladbach - Hamburger SV game (Matchday 7 of the Bundesliga), on 15/10/2016 (kick-off at 15:30 CET).

Borussia Mönchengladbach will not charge on transaction fees on the platform; the tickets exchanged on the platform must be sold at face value, and the only additional expense may be shipping (€3.50 maximum). Borussia Mönchengladbach also want to encourage season ticket holders to sell their seat for games they can not attend: the subscriber card is disabled for the match in question, and a "day pass" will be activated to allow the buyer access to the stadium.

"We see this platform as a service to our fans. They will not have to buy very expensive, and possibly fraudulent seats, and they will know that via our platform, seats are available safely and reasonably priced," said Stephan Schippers, the CEO of the club.
