LaLiga: Philips Lighting official supplier of the future stadium of Atlético Madrid for 2016-2020

Philips Lighting España y Portugal, a subsidiary of the Dutch group Philips technology, has become the official supplier of the future stadium of Club Atlético de Madrid (LaLiga Santander) for four seasons (2016-2020), announced the two parties on 05/10/2016. The new stadium of the Madrid club, with a capacity of 70,000 seats and a construction cost of €195m, must be delivered for the 2017-18 season.

With technology from Philips Lighting, the future stadium of Atlético will be "the first in the world to have entirely LED technology," stated the club. "The new stadium (will be) the first to benefit from Philips Arena Experience, a new LED lighting system that will accompany the fans throughout their experience before, during and after the matches. The project will cover the whole of the illumination from the pitch to the façade and roofing, as well as all the hospitality areas," said Atlético Madrid.
