Liverpool: Standard Chartered replaced on the shirt by an association fighting against blindness

The association against avoidable blindness "Seeing is Believing" will replace, for one match, the main shirt sponsor of Liverpool FC (Premier League), Standard Chartered, during the Liverpool - Manchester United match at Anfield (54,000 seats), the final game of Matchday 8 of the Premier League, on Monday, 17/10/2016 (kick-off at 20:00 local BST).

The British bank Standard Chartered extended as the shirt sponsor of Liverpool FC until the end of the 2018-19 season, on 21/04/2015. Standard Chartered has been linked with the club since 2010. The previous agreement was estimated at £20m (€27.8m) per season, while the new agreement under the extension is estimated at £30m (€33.2m on 17/10/2016) by British media.

This activation, with the approval of Standard Chartered, will be held just 4 days after the World Sight Day. An auction with autographed shirts and other objects of the Liverpool FC players from the match is scheduled after the game.
