Ligue 1: O. Lyonnais deny media reports of naming rights agreement for Parc OL with Fiducial group

"Olympique Lyonnais categorically denies the information published this morning (Saturday, 15/10/2016) by the sports daily L'Equipe about an agreement that was reached with the Fiducial group for the naming rights to Parc OL. (...) This assertion from L'Equipe is totally false. To date, there is no agreement with the Fiducial group, and the speculation of (an deal for) three years and the amount of €2m to €2.5m million annually is also totally false," said Olympique Lyonnais (Ligue 1) in a statement late in the evening on 14/10/2016.

The French sports daily L'Equipe reported, in its morning edition on 15/10/2016, that an agreement was reached between OL and Fiducial, an accounting group with its headquarters based in Lyon (FRA), for the naming rights to Parc OL (59,186 places), inaugurated on 09/01/2016. "I had originally said that I wanted the naming rights and the shirt sponsorship to bring in €8m-€10m a year over the next 10 to 15 years. But since then we have extended our (shirt sponsor) partnership with Hyundai. Therefore, I now hope to get €6m (per year) for the naming rights…
