A total of at least 4,479 million viewers on average watched the 10 games of Matchday 8 of the 2016-17 LaLiga Santander, held from 14 to 17/10/2016.

The best TV audience of the weekend was for Real Betis Balompié - Real Madrid CF (1-6): which drew 1,109,000 viewers on average on the pay-TV channel Movistar Partidazo, on Saturday, 15/10/2016 (kick-off at 20:45 CET). This figure represented an 8.4% audience share for the channel of the Telefonica group, which ranked first in the Spanish market for pay-TV for the entire day.

On the pay-TV channel beIN LaLiga, the FC Barcelona - Deportivo La Coruña (4-0) match drew 793,000 viewers on average, on Saturday, 15/10/2016 (kick-off at 16:15 CET), for an audience share of 6.8%.

On Spanish free-TV, the UD Las Palmas - RCD Espanyol match (0-0), drew 607,000 viewers on Gol (the Mediapro channel relaunched on 02/06/2016) on Friday 14/10/2016 (kick-off at 20:45 CET). Audience share: 4.1%.
