Manchester City: record turnover of £391.8m (+11%), net profit of £20.5m in 2015-16

Manchester City FC (Premier League) posted a record turnover of £391.8m (€509.86m on 31/05/2016) during the 2015-16 fiscal year (from 01/06/2015 to 31/05/2016), up 11.4% from 2014-15 (£351.8m / €489m on 31/05/2015), indicated the club on 18/10/2016.

This increase in revenue is mainly due to audiovisual rights, including monies received from the Champions League (Manchester City reached the semi-finals in 2015-16). Manchester City recorded an operating profit of £96.75m (€125.9m) before transfer activities, which is reduced to £2.8m (€3.64m) when including player trading (player spend of £93.9m, €122.2m).

Manchester City recorded a net profit of £20.5m (€26.7m) at the end of the 2015-16 fiscal year, the second consecutive profit achieved by the club since its acquisition by Abu Dhabi United Group for Development and Investment (investment fund of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed) in 2008. The club posted a net profit of £10.7m (€14.9m) in 2014-15 and a net loss of £22.9m (€28.2m) in 2013-14.
