Premier League: attendance for Matchday 8 for the 2016-17 season, Arsenal-Swansea City draws 60,007

Matchday 8 of the 2016-17 Premier League season drew an average 35,464 spectators per game, for an average stadium fill rate of 95%, from 15/10 to 17/10/2016. The average attendance of the English top division is currently 35,750 fans per game on the season (average fill rate: 96%).

Arsenal FC - Swansea City AFC (3-2) recorded the highest attendance of Matchday 8, with 60,007 spectators at the Emirates Stadium (fill rate: 99.5%). Arsenal have recorded a fill rate above 99% at all of their home games in the 2016-17 season.

Three games of the Matchday 8 drew more than 50,000 spectators, and half of the matches (five of 10) recorded fill rates of 99% or more.

  • The 20 Premier League clubs in the 2015-16 season recorded an average of 36,409 spectators per game.
