EPFL: elective General Assembly (President, Executive Committee) on 21/10/2016 in Zurich (SUI)

Items on the agenda of the EPFL General Assembly, to be held at the Radisson Blu Zurich (Switzerland), on Friday 21/10/2016 from 9:00 to 12:30 CET, include relations with other partners in the world of football, the election of a new executive committee (12 members), and the election and presentation of a new president and vice-president.

Lars-Christer Olsson (SWE) replaced Frédéric Thiriez (FRA) as president of the EPFL, following the resignation of the latter on 11/03/2016. The Swede was chosen to assume the presidency until the end of Frederic Thiriez's originally scheduled term, which ends on the day of the General Assembly on 21/10/2016.

Regarding relations with other partners, the dialogue between the EPFL and UEFA should be central to the debate, as the two bodies have been vigorously opposed recently regarding the reforms for the 2018-2021 cycle of the Champions League.
