The Malaysian airline company Malaysia Airlines has become the official airline of Liverpool FC (Premier League) for three seasons (2016-2019), beginning on 11/10/2016. Malaysia Airlines replaces the Indonesian airline Garuda Indonesia, which was the club's partner since 2012.

With this partnership, Malaysia Airlines gets visibility on the LED screens and advertising panels at Anfield (54,000 seats), and a presence on the club's media communications, including the website. Malaysia Airlines will also launch co-branded products and the Liverpool players will become ambassadors for the airline.

“Both brands have a long and illustrious history with similar cultures rooted around a sense of family. Liverpool FC is one of the most followed clubs in the world, including around 100 million followers in South East Asia and 40million in China, our key markets. Additionally, Liverpool FC will go a long way in strengthening our brand in the UK, our gateway to Europe,” stated Peter Bellew, the CEO of Malaysia Airlines.
