France: FFF to launch tender for the post-2018 World Cup kit supplier contract on 02/11/2016

FFF will launch, on 02/11/2016, the tender for the kit supplier contract for the French national teams, which will start after the 2018 World Cup, in July 2018. The process is being written and managed by the law firm Clifford Chance in Paris (FRA).

The American brand Nike currently equips the French national teams over the 2011-2018 period, after being awarded the previous tender on 22/02/2008, notably in favour over adidas, who has been the technical sponsor of the FFF since 1972. In addition to a contract "entry fee" of €15m, Nike annually pays the FFF a sum between €38m and €38.5m in financial allocation, between €7 and €7.5m in the provision of equipment, so between €45 and €46m in total per year, plus additional bonuses and clauses. adidas paid an annual sum estimated at €10m during the 2004-2011 cycle.
