Drone Racing: Eurosport - DR1 Racing partnership valid for 70 countries (Europe, Asia-Pacific)

Eurosport has become the exclusive broadcaster of content DR1 Racing, the drone racing event organiser, for 70 countries in Europe and Asia Pacific, announced the Discovery owned group on 17/10/2016. Eurosport also becomes the representative of the DR1 Racing interests worldwide (excluding the USA).

This agreement allows Eurosport to broadcast, including the first race of DR1 Champions Series in Los Angeles (USA), on Tuesday, 08/11/2016 at 23:00 CET, and DR1 Micro Series (micro-drones racing). At each race, the drivers will all use the same drone model, provided by the DR1 Champions Series.

"Drone racing, which sees competitors navigate remote control aircraft through complex obstacle courses as quickly as possible, will provide further support to Eurosport's innovative strategy of showcasing contemporary content, and its ongoing efforts to engage a broad demographic of fans through a combination of the most exhilarating sports on all
platforms," stated Eurosport on 17/10/2016.
