France: 12,468 spectators per game in the Coupe de la Ligue, record the "Round of 32" over 10 years

With a total of nearly 125,000 spectators (124,682), the 10 matches of "Round of 32" of the French Coupe de la Ligue, played mid-week on 25 and 26/10/2016, was an attendance record for the competition in more than 10 years (2005-06 season), stated the LFP on 27/10/2016.

"Six of the 10 Ligue 1, Domino's Ligue 2, and National (French third division) hosting games (FC Nantes, Stade Rennes, Clermont Foot, Stade Lavallois, Paris FC, and LB Châteauroux, read below) recorded their best crowd of the season in all competitions. Since the start of the 2016-17 season, the Coupe de la Ligue has a recorded a total attendance of 222,000 spectators, the best mark of the competition for over 10 years," said the French League.

FC Nantes - Angers SCO and Stade Rennais - FC Lorient drew, between them together, 59,000 spectators, or 47.2% of total attendance of the "Round of 32"
