La Liga: number of socios by club (as of 23/04/2015)

In Spain, a "socio" is a member of a club's association. Below is the number of socios per club in the 2014-15 Liga BBVA as of 23/04/2015.

It is important to note that four Spanish clubs -- FC Barcelona, Real Madrid CF, Athletic Club Bilbao, and CA Osasuna (in the Liga Adelante in 2014-15, the Spanish second division) -- are non-profit associations, and are therefore held and controlled by their socios.

Most other Spanish clubs are SADs (sports limited public company), of which the club's association may or may not be a part of the shareholding structure.

The 2014-15 Liga BBVA clubs UD Almería, SD Eibar, and Elche CF do not have socios, according data from www.lfp.es.
