British free-to-air broadcaster ITV has secured the TV rights for the UK to England's home and away friendly internationals from 2014/15 to 2017/2018, the company announced on the 17/07/2013.

The TV network acquired the rights from the FA (Football Association) and the deal is estimated to be worth £100m (€116m) over the period.

"This deal makes ITV the only place to watch England live in the coming years. By adding exclusive live coverage of England's friendly games, both home and away, until 2018 to our exclusive rights to show live England’s competitive qualifying tournament matches over the same period, we continue to be the home of live England football," indicated ITV Director of Sport Niall Sloane.

On the 14/05/2013, ITV acquired the UK broadcasting rights to England's home and away qualifiers for Euro 2016 and the 2018 World Cup. The deal, estimated at £100m (€116m), also included the rights to broadcast 20 qualifying matches featuring teams outside of the UK's 'home nations' of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland on its ITV4 channel.
