FC Barcelona: socios approve partnerships with Nike (€150m / year) and Qatar Airways (€33.5m)

With 483 votes in favour, 251 against, and 60 blank votes, the socios (association members) with voting rights of FC Barcelona (LaLiga Santander) extended, for the 2016-17 season, the club's shirt sponsorship deal with Qatar Airways, at the 2016 annual general meeting of Barça on 29/10/2016. The amount of the partnership is €33.5.

The socios of FC Barcelona also endorsed the extension of the kit supplier contract with the American sports equipment brand Nike, for the 2018-2028 period, with 584 votes in favour, 10 against, and 9 blank votes. The 10-year partnership includes an initial period of five seasons, and an option for five additional years. Nike receives the rights to associate with and use the FC Barcelona brand, advertising rights in the club's enclosures (Camp Nou, Palau Blaugrana, Ciutat Esportiva), and during tours of the club, as well as hospitality services.
